But what about Equatorial Guinea?

1. November 2006 | Von Josef Reich | Kategorie: Kristof, Read the World!, Rhetorics

Have you heard about Nicholas Kristof from the New York Times? Great journalist, great writer, and to me a real ethical institution. You will find lots of links to his articles on Fairplanet’s website in the Read the World section.

Whether it’s about Darfur, AIDS, sex-trafficking, or woman rights abuse in Pakistan, Kristof’s opinion and background articles are reasonable and can be used as a guideline for what should be improved on our planet. If we ever find a big-time investor for a CNN-like fairplanet.tv, we will try to hire Mr. Kristof as our editor in chief.

But – even Great Leaders should be sometimes criticized.

Kristof recently travelled through the African continent, and Equatorial Guinea was one of his stop-overs. While he was there, he wrote an article referring to the overall situation on the African continent. However, in this article we didn´t find any information about the miserable human rights situation in Equatorial Guinea.

So, we would find it very interesting if Mr. Kristof could please comment on the SPIEGEL article describing the situation in this country, and we would be for sure very honored and proud if Nicholas Kristoff would share his comments here on our fairplanet blog.
